The Gwangbok-ro Lantern Culture Festival is a part of the Busan Lantern Festival with a recently inherited form of “Yeondeunghoe”, which is a national designated cultural festival.
It is organized by the Buddhist Association of Jung-gu, Busan. They install LED street lamps, Jangeomdeungs (grand lights), and operate free trial booths in the Gwangbok-ro and Gwangbokjungang-ro areas. This has attracted the attention of Busan citizens and tourists.
