Detailed introduction

Sumireu Park was opened on August 10, 1988, next to the Busan Port Coastal Passenger Terminal to provide a resting place for domestic and foreign tourists using both the International Passenger Terminal and the Busan Port Coastal Passenger Terminal as well as Busan citizens. As a waterfront park, it has many visitors who need relaxation. The “Sumireu” is a compound word of the Chinese letter “su” meaning water and the Korean word “mireu” meaning a dragon.

Since the park was opened in August 1988, many families and young people have used it. In addition, Sumireu Park is well-known to many citizens and is also a place for couples and young people.

Equipped with a basketball court, it also acts as a playground for young people to enjoy their sports. On Sundays, there are many events including hip-hop dance, and young people can participate freely on the stage in front of the park.

Sumireu Park is greatly appreciated by tourists using the International Passenger Terminal and the Busan Port Coastal Passenger Terminal as well as citizens using it as a place of rest or a kind of theme park. At night, Sumireu Park boasts a more spectacular view. The sea nearby and anchored ships add to its picturesque beauty at night.
